February 28, 2011 – Marc Garneau, Official Opposition critic for Industry, Science, and Technology, will be touring across Quebec March 11h-April 15th meeting with business and community leaders, principally to discuss the role of our small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the world stage. Some of the topics will include:
- The future of SMEs in Quebec
- The main opportunities and challenges facing SMEs in developing export markets?
- The role of the federal government in supporting SMEs
Through a series of roundtable discussions, Mr. Garneau will be listening to businesspeople in Quebec and sharing some of his thoughts on how we can all work together to help build a brighter future for emerging businesses in Quebec and Canada. He will be joined in some of the events by his fellow Liberal Party of Canada MPs, Navdeep Bains, critic for Small Business and Alexandra Mendes, critic for the Economic Development Agency for Regions of Quebec.
